metabolic balance® Is So Easy

Myra here…I believe that clients benefit if they have the opportunity interact with each other. One of the tools I use to network with my clients is Facebook. I share a private page with Sonya McLeod, a coach in British Columbia. Barbara is Sonya’s client. Barbara is generous about offering suggestions and contributing her experiences. I thought it would be fun to get to know more about her…

Barbara_today “Just do it!… metabolic balance® is so easy! People ask me what I eat. I find all sorts of things to eat…” Barbara Cole, metabolic balancer, Vancouver, BC, Canada (Today – size 8)

Barbara, tell me about yourself.

I have always been a healthy eater. The annoyingly healthy one. Pretty much always a size 10. But when I hit menopause at 53…Boom! I could barely squeeze into a size 14.

I like clothes. I did everything. I thought I was on to something with Paleo and Wheat Belly Diet. I lost 26 lbs. quickly and then stopped loosing weight. Even though I continued a modified Paleo/Wheat Belly routine.

What brought you to metabolic balance®?

Barbara Cole (before)

I moved to Vancouver to be with my grandchildren. I used to have energy.  My youngest grandchild is 5.  I was concerned that I could not keep up with them. I still needed to loose 15-20 pounds. I knew that something I was doing wasn’t working.

What do you enjoy about metabolic balance®?

Sonya knew right away that I would do well on the plan. I really liked that metabolic balance was an individual program. The first thing I noticed was that I was eating too many nuts. I like that I know I am getting the right amount of vegetables, fats, and protein.

How much did you lose on metabolic balance®?

I lost 25 lbs. last year. I took a break. I went to Toronto for a high school reunion from the end April to the middle of August. I have a lot friends there. I knew that I would not be able to stay on the program. But I started not feeling as well as I did when I was on the program. I gained 10 lbs. That is not a lot considering what I was eating. But, it was enough to decide to go back on my plan. I restarted in January 2016.

What are some of the changes you noticed on metabolic balance®?

The way I look at things changed. I stopped procrastinating. I see something that needs to be done I just get up and do it. It feels good. It is not just how I look, my digestion is so much better.

I have more energy. My friends talk about getting older; they talk about their aches and pains. I don’t. I don’t have any pains. They move slower than I do. When we take walks I have to wait for them to catch up.

What are your favorite foods on the program?

I love fish! That is my favorite food on my plan. I like the Mandelade breakfast, chicken, and goat yogurt. And all those vegetables and fruits… I prepare and get ready for the week. I sit down at the beginning of the week and make a menu. I change it up on Sunday.

Do you have any tips or words of encouragement for anyone out there considering metabolic balance®?

Just do it! It is simple. Make your meals pretty. Buy good pickles.

Thank you, Barbara, for sharing your story.

My pleasure.
